Many of us are operating from a biased paradigm that suggests we would rather be miserable than considered a quitter.
Your commitments say more about you than your goals do.
Commit to eighty percent effort focused towards the twenty percent of the work you believe will have the most impact and don’t be surprised when you find yourself flourishing beyond your wildest dreams.
Is flourishing physically simply about body physique? How much weight you can lift? Your mile time? VO2 Max? Looking strong at the beach? Or is it much deeper than that? Ultimately if we’re going to flourish, we’ve got to understand that to flourish physically isn’t just about vanity fitness metrics, it is to be physically rested.
You can’t fake flourishing and you certainly can’t fake your way towards it.
What does a flourishing mind look and feel like?
These heroic efforts make for great stories and social media posts, but they often mask the most fundamental, foundational truths associated with our circumstances.
Where have you noticed your attention drifting away from mastery and toward something else?
You don’t “have” to do anything.
When you live life on purpose, everything you do is ultimately because you want to.
